HI, I’m Julia, the designer/maker behind The Small Things Jewellery.

It’s fair to say I’ve had a fairly varied background - from law to makeup artistry, and now silversmithing for jewellery making. I believe in following your curiosity - and since discovering jewellery making I’ve been hooked.

Every piece of The Small Things Jewellery is designed and made by me in my home studio in Auckland, which means production is small, VERY small.

What I make isn’t about trends; it’s about wearable pieces that feel personal, intuitive, and individual.  

I love working with sterling silver, gold fill and 9ct gold, raw crystals and freshwater pearls. The character of the materials are the star of the show, and each piece is subtly unique.

I love the imperfect and the slightly off centre. I don't believe in perfection but I do believe in quality. I work to maintain a low waste studio and often produce designs using recycled metal or metal offcuts.

The biggest thrill and the reason I do this is to create beautiful pieces that people will love, and I hope you will love them too.
